Dr. Michael Marushack practices at the Shallotte and Brunswick Forest Cutlar Crossing offices of EmergeOrtho. Dr. Marushack is a graduate of University of Utah School of Medicine, Salt lake City, UT. During his orthopedic residency, he spent two years doing research on bone metabolism and authored several basic science publications. After completion of his orthopedic residency at the Washington University School of Medicine, he finished a sports medicine fellowship in Birmingham, Alabama, specializing in the treatment of knees, shoulders and joint replacements. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North Carolina Medical Society.
